Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how paid subscriptions and usage-based purchases work, how to cancel, and when refunds may be available. It supplements our Terms of Service.
1. Free tier
Free usage may be subject to daily or monthly limits. No payment is required; cancellation is not applicable beyond ceasing to use the Service.
2. Subscriptions
If you purchase a subscription, billing cycles, renewal, and taxes will be shown at checkout and in your receipt. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel renewal through the billing portal or instructions we provide (for example, Stripe Customer Portal). Cancellation stops future charges; it does not delete your account unless you request deletion separately.
4. Refunds
- General: Unless required by law or explicitly stated at purchase, fees are non-refundable once the billing period has started.
- Usage / quota consumption: For metered or quota-based products, amounts attributable to processing you have already consumed (e.g., minutes transcribed, translation tasks completed) are typically non-refundable, because underlying API and infrastructure costs are incurred at the time of use.
- Top-up credits: Top-up credits purchased on SubtitleFlow never expire and remain available in your account indefinitely. Refund requests for unused top-up credits are reviewed on a case-by-case basis at our discretion; please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank so we can resolve the issue together.
- Billing errors: If you believe you were charged incorrectly, contact us within 14 days at billing@subtitleflow.com with your account email and invoice ID. We will investigate good-faith disputes.
- Chargebacks: Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank so we can resolve the issue. Abusive chargebacks may result in account closure.
5. EU / UK consumers
If mandatory consumer laws in your country provide a right of withdrawal for distance contracts, those rights may apply in addition to this policy. We will honor applicable legal requirements.
