Merge Subtitles
Join two subtitle files into one timeline — like stitching CD1 and CD2 of an old movie. Add a time offset for the second file so it lines up.
100% in your browser — your files never leave your device.
How to merge subtitle files
- Step 1
Add both files
Upload or paste the first subtitle file, then the second.
- Step 2
Set the offset (if needed)
Enter how many seconds into the video the second file starts (e.g. the length of part 1).
- Step 3
Merge & download
Click Merge — both files are combined onto one timeline, sorted by time.
When to use this
- Stitch the two halves of a movie (CD1 + CD2) into a single subtitle file.
- Combine subtitles that were split across parts back into one file.
- Set the second file's start offset so its timing follows the first.
FAQ
How do I combine two SRT files into one?
Add both files, set how far into the video the second one starts (its offset), and click Merge. The result is one file with both sets of cues sorted by time.
Do I need an offset?
Only if the second file's timecodes restart from zero (e.g. CD2). Set the offset to the runtime of part 1 so part 2 lines up.
Are my files uploaded?
No — merging happens entirely in your browser.
Need to translate your subtitles too?
Fixing timing and merging is free here. When you need to translate subtitles into another language with the timeline kept perfectly aligned, that's what SubtitleFlow does.
